Hark is a product of 800 Trust, a registered New Zealand charity (Charity Number: CC60656). We develop solar-powered AI acoustic wildlife monitoring technology.

What information we collect

We collect only what is necessary:

• Email address — when you sign up to be notified about product availability.
• IP address — logged automatically when you submit a form, used solely to prevent abuse and spam.
• Usage data — page visits, session duration, browser type, device type, and approximate location (country/city), collected via Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visitors. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google.

We do not collect names, payment information, or any other personal data through this website.

How we use your information

Your email address is used solely to:

• Notify you when HARK devices become available for purchase or pre-order.
• Send occasional product updates directly related to HARK — if you have opted in.

We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

How we store your information

Email addresses are stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Timescale Cloud in the AWS ap-southeast-2 (Sydney) region. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

We retain your email address until you request deletion or unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your information at any time.
• Withdraw consent for us to contact you.
